WHO WE ARE
In 2016 Sam and Matthew Geppert created the Geppert Brothers Fly Fishing Foundation with the purpose of helping children and young adults in the Banteay Meanchey Province of Cambodia. Through Matthew’s passion for his work as a missionary throughout Southeast Asia and Sam’s background in sports marketing and as a professional fly fishing guide in Montana, the two brothers came up with the idea to produce and sell flies in order to fund programs, scholarships and a variety of other services that help facilitate microeconomic growth in Cambodia.
Nearly one year later, thirteen young adults from Cambodia joined together to begin training and the production of flies in the newly equipped fly-tying craft shop. The incredible talent and enthusiasm demonstrated by this group of Cambodian artisans continues to impress the brothers as their dream of becoming a part of the microeconomic solution to Cambodia’s poverty crisis is becoming a realization.
